Throughout history, art work has depicted alien and UFO portrayals, but is it really alien or is it a religious understanding? Religion in many cases is hard to truly understand as it is based primarily on faith rather than on actual encounters. However, many have had spiritual encounters that resemble that of an extra-terrestrial encounter. It is hard to say if what people have encountered is something of the spiritual realm, a government experiment, or beings from another world. Though, current UFO artwork has been thought to be government experimentation as disguised aliens, what about artwork from the twelfth century? Think about the descriptions of the following pieces; religious or alien?
Fifteenth Century Sketch
A sketch from the fifteenth century, thought to depict John the Baptist teaching on the revelation to a disciple shows a glowing oval UFO like image in the upper right hand of the sketch and a beaming light hitting the apostle John in the face. Is it a depiction of extra-terrestrial beings or God?
La Tebaide
In many religions and throughout historical evidence, a man named Jesus Christ was hung on the cross. Many believed him to be the son of God. In the depiction of La Tebaide, from 1396, you see a glowing oval object UFO behind the man on the cross. The blown up image to the right shows a better view of the image. It looks like an alien space-ship yet others believe it is God coming to take Jesus home. Alien or Spiritual?
The Crucifixion
In the crucifixion, a 1350 AD piece, a man is surrounded by a light beam in the shape of a UFO. Though this was a depiction of a spiritual encounter, with an oval shape and beaming glow, it resembles a type of extra-terrestrial UFO type of portrayal. Other pieces from this artist also depict UFO type bubbles taking the Christ to heaven.
Though, many believe in aliens, it may be possible that these are more than just an alien encounter. Could it be that UFO sightings are actually from the spiritual realm? With governmental agencies and mass media, it is hard to tell what is the Truth and what is not, however, many artists create pieces based on actual encounters. It seems artists throughout history and even thousands of years ago experienced something that was indescribable in words, yet intricate in art. With religious depictions resembling modern alien encounters, one begins to wonder, whether alien encounters are actually part of a spiritual encounter. Whether religious or alien, you must decide for yourself.

What is it about UFO art that is so popular? Think about the detail of the art work. It is not often that a person has a camera during an extra-terrestrial encounter; therefore an artist must either have a vivid imagination or have actually seen what they portray in their art work. With such intricate detail, it is quite ludicrous to believe that someone could come up with something like that purely from their head. Because the detail gives way to the possibility of alien life forms, others are fascinated by it. Curiosity gets the best of us, and the possibility of other life forms intrigues us. One such artist that captivates the world of alien gurus is Jim Nichols. With personal experiences, Nichols portrays the beautiful yet unknown depictions of life forms that we can only imagine.
